The OMEGA Countdown Clock in Greenwich has been unveiled in time to celebrate “One Year to Go” to the start of the Games on the 27th July 2011.
Time has written a large part of the long and fascinating history of Greenwich, England. The Royal Observatory Greenwich, home of the Prime Meridian of the World (0° longitude) and of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), is located there. In 2012, time will take on added significance in Greenwich as it hosts some of the events of the London Olympic Games in Greenwich Park. Ticking away the seconds, minutes, hours and days until the excitement begins is the Countdown Clock installed right on the Prime Meridian Line by OMEGA, the Official Timekeeper of the Games.
